More Than a Brand
Jōhatsu reflects my pursuit of creative freedom and purpose—a way to build a fulfilling career on my own terms as a screenprinter and filmmaker. Thank you for your support!

my story

With a background in filmmaking, I've been screen-printing for over 15 years as a creative outlet when I wasn't working on set. In 2024, I began laying the foundation for Jōhatsu—a one-man brand rooted in craftsmanship and ethical values—and officially launched it in 2025.

Inspired by D.I.Y. culture and minimal aesthetics, Jōhatsu is my way of building life on my own terms. Every piece is hand-printed with care, proceeds support mental health initiatives, and imperfect garments go to local homeless charities—nothing goes to waste.

Naming the brand Jōhatsu was intentional. It's a Japanese term meaning "evaporation," often used to describe people who intentionally disappear to escape personal struggles or societal pressures. To me, it represents stepping away from an old life and beginning again with clear purpose.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

A special project: the Aegir Studio X Jōhatsu handprinted tee supports the production of my film “The Edge“.

This is a Name-Your-Price product, with a base price of 60€—every extra contribution helps support the brand, the film, and, of course, increase donations to mental health resources. Your support means the world to me.

Crafted from 100% organic cotton (240 GSM), this vintage black tee offers a regular, unisex fit and features a small hand screen-printed artwork in white using eco-friendly, water-based ink.
